I’m a woman in veils

of words and emotions.

I’m a poetess and a woman,

the worst kind of liar.

I can write what

I don’t really feel,

but every word it’s heartfelt,

distilled from my core.

You must unravel the mystery

of this contradictory layers.

Lies shading into real sensations,

truth fading in fictional feelings.

My body is the sheer undercoat

of my variegated soul,

more appealing than

flesh and bones.

Don’t crave for the undercoat

if you’re not sure that you’re

able to accept what lays beyond.
