You knew nothing about a girl

who sat on an ancient stone

and looking at a ridge

she imagined how life could be

beyond that border.

You knew nothing about

when she tried with her

feverish, uncertain hand

to describe her mental travels.

She was just the embryo

of a poetess.

You knew nothing about

her heart ripped by those ones

who didn’t understand her parallel dimension,

that’s what poetry is.

You knew nothing about

her being unsure and shy

because she was scared to be hurt

as it had happened so many times before.

You knew nothing….

nevertheless you noticed me

amidst thousand of people.

You removed the dust from

my obscure soul and made it

shine again.

Your eyes are the deepest

eyes of all.
